What is conscious parenting and how does it differ from traditional parenting?

Conscious parenting (should just be called ‘parenting’!) focuses on being present, mindful, and connected with your child. It’s about understanding your own emotions and triggers, responding rather than reacting, and fostering open communication and empathy. In traditional parenting, the emphasis might be on obedience, control, and external rewards/punishments.

What are some challenges parents face in their journey towards conscious parenting?

Letting go of perfectionism, overcoming self-judgement, navigating generational patterns, managing stress and exhaustion, setting healthy boundaries, and communicating effectively with their child are some common challenges.

What techniques or tools do you use in your programs?

Some common tools include mindfulness exercises, communication techniques, emotional regulation strategies, somatic movement and grounding exercises, positive reinforcement, understanding child development, EFT and exploring subconscious patterns through hypnotherapy.

Do you offer support for parents who are reintegrating back into the workplace following parental leave?

Is this just about changing my child's behaviour?

While your child’s behaviour may shift, the primary focus is on your own internal transformation. As you change your perspective and approach, your child will naturally react and adapt, leading to a more balanced and connected relationship.

How does your approach integrate gentle parenting principles?

My programmes align with gentle parenting principles by emphasising empathy, respect for your child’s feelings and needs, positive communication, avoiding punishment, setting compassionate boundaries, and fostering emotional connection. We work together to find alternative solutions to challenging behaviours without resorting to control or coercion.

What makes you different from other parenting coaches?

I have a unique outlook whereby I learnt a huge amount from delving into my parents’ relationships with their parents. Through the experience of my parents divorce I have been on a journey which led me here today. I take into account generational patterns, I access my knowledge from Executive Coaching and I skilfully and creatively access the unconscious mind (via hypnotherapy and NLP) to support my clients on their own journey. My analytical brain fused with a spiritual stance is what I like to think makes me different.
