About Laura

Laura is a mum of boys, Hypnotherapist and Conscious Parenting Coach. She specialises in using NLP based strategies to help parents become more present, live a life of calm, balance and fulfilment and raise happier and more connected kids.

Why Laura?

I really found the transition from babyhood to toddlerhood with my eldest son very challenging. Tantrums were triggering and various other behaviours led me on my own personal development and conscious parenting journey. I’ve spent the past seven years studying parenting styles, attachment theory, trauma, somatic therapy and brain development. All of which I find absolutely fascinating! I learnt that the triggers were never my son’s fault, they were all linked to my own past.

I have experience in Executive Coaching, a degree in Marketing and Human Resource Management and I am a trauma informed, qualified Mindset Coach – trained in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Timeline Therapy™, EFT Tapping and Hypnotherapy. In 2022, I decided to follow my calling of helping other like-minded parents who are struggling with being the parent they want to be.

I have two young boys, a love for the countryside and an ongoing obsession with the unconscious mind and the mind-body connection. I have intensively studied the works of Dr Shefali Tsabary, Dr Gabor Maté, Stephen Porges and Dr Nicole LePera, whose insights are the overarching themes of my coaching methods.

My support is delivered from safe, non-judgemental space where parents feel seen, heard, and understood. The core of my work consists of a therapeutic, conscious relationship which is collaboratively built with each client. Many aspects of coaching are future-focused without acknowledging the importance of understanding the past – in particular childhood. My programmes help clients connect their past to their present so they can progressively move forward.

I am incredibly passionate about sharing my wisdom and healing people. Parent’s that I’ve worked with walk away feeling much more in tune with themselves and better educated about their children’s development.

My Values & Beliefs

I believe children deserve respect

Mindful parenting does not mean that your children rule the roost or that there is no discipline or boundaries. I believe that children deserve just as much respect as adults, they have the right to be authentic but setting strong boundaries where needed is very important for their self-esteem and creating good behaviour and habits.

To change your child, you have to start with you

Now, I don’t mean that there is something wrong with you! But, in order to have compassion for your child and fully grasp why they are carrying out a certain behaviour, 90% of the time the compassion for yourself comes first.

My focus is on your desired outcome

I firmly believe that getting you from A to B will make you happier, calmer and a better parent. But most importantly – you may go through a bit of a journey and learn a bit of self-love on the way. I am not here to simply earn a living, I genuinely want to see a big shift in the world and I truly believe it starts with our children.

My Approach

When it comes to my coaching style, I believe in total transparency and good communication, if for whatever reason the rapport doesn’t feel right then this will be discussed before taking any further steps. I simply want to be able to help as many parents achieve their outcomes as possible and this will be extremely difficult if the connection is not there.

I am honest, calm and empathetic. I am dedicated to getting to the root of a problem and helping you to fix it. If that means recommending a psychotherapist or another form of therapy which is outside of my scope of training, then I will do so. My programmes inevitably allow us to form a bond and I will be your cheerleader helping you to achieve your goals.
