Frequently Asked

What happens on the coaching calls?

…I will design a plan based on the information you have provided, I will start by talking you through this and coming to a mutually agreed and more refined plan. Then following your initial call where we’ll discover more about your parenting style we will delve into examples of where you’ve struggled, challenges you’ve faced and practice techniques to un-do any habits, beliefs and behaviours.

How do the sessions take place?

…They take place via zoom, however, if you have a different preferred mode of video call software such as Google Meet or WhatsApp video then I can be flexible.

I’m not from the UK. Can you still work with me?

…Absolutely yes – as long as you have a good internet connection and means to video software.

Will working with you help fix my child?

…No, because your child is not broken. I will help you to be more present and more emotionally attuned with your child(ren) and guide you to be their emotional coach. Working with me will help you to have a much better understanding of your child(rens) wants and needs.

I’m scared to discuss certain things…

…That is completely understandable and sessions can be uncomfortable, but if you push through the pain barrier and keep helping yourself that’s where you will experience the biggest growth. If you allow yourself to go deeper and acknowledge how much your own childhood impacts you in your parenting, this is where the transformation happens. I am living proof of this, I resisted some inner work but wouldn’t be doing this today if I didn’t work though it.

I'm not sure if parent coaching is what I need?

…I am yet to encounter a parent who does not struggle. Many parents can feel shame around reaching out and asking for help in their parenting however no one taught us how to be parents and we don’t walk out of hospital with a manual on the subject. Parents who acknowledge they are struggling and reach out for help find they are more supported, educated and well-informed than those parents who don’t seek help.
